Northamptonshire based business growth consultancy, Building Business, is launching a Women Into Self Employment (WISE) course to help budding women entrepreneurs.
The six-week course, which includes one two-hour session each week, will cover the key components of starting a business including marketing and finance. By the end of the course, each attendee will have created their own business plan and will be signposted to any available grants and funding streams. They will also receive a free one-to-one consultation with a Building Business advisor.
Since establishing Building Business in 2006, owner Ruth Roan has helped 500 women get into self-employment.
She said: “According to research by the RBS Group, there are now almost 1.5 million women self-employed in the UK. On average, 80% of women I see who are exploring the idea of self-employment always follow it through. Any that have failed to get it off the ground have been due to barriers like cashflow or family commitments not giving them the time required to put into the business. WISE is all about inspiring women to believe they can succeed and turn their dreams into reality. We can give them the tools, advice and support they need to create their own successful enterprises.”
Places are limited to six people and cost £300+ VAT per person. Dates are yet to be confirmed.
