Proving they are top of the league when it comes to supporting charitable causes, Ensafe Consultants backed a football fundraiser in aid of The Grenfell Foundation, sponsoring ex-England AllStar legend Kelly Smith.
The record goal scorer was one of the famous footie faces and big-hearted players who took part in the charity match, organsied by the FA Women’s National League, to help raise money for those affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
The recent charity trophy match is an annual event that the League runs, which was this year held in aid of The Grenfell Foundation and The Harrow Club. The match saw a host of Ex-England AllStar players take on a Women’s National League Select side.
It’s hoped hundreds of pounds will be netted following the successful sporting tournament, which included the sponsorship support of Northampton business Ensafe, who also donated tickets to its corporate box at Northampton Saints as a prize for the footie fundraiser.
Ensafe sponsored retired Arsenal Ladies and England legend Kelly Smith MBE who was the country’s record goalscorer.
The striker earned 117 England caps, played in several major tournaments and represented Team GB at the 2012 London Olympics. She was one of a number of sporting stars who participated in the #WNL4GRENFELL Charity Trophy match, organised by the FA WNL.
Managing Director at Ensafe Consultants, Greg Kirkman, added: “Ensafe were proud to support this fantastic fundraiser and sponsor sporting star Kelly Smith.
“We are thrilled to have played our part in helping raise money for such worthy causes and it’s one of the many ways Ensafe supports charities on a local and national level.”
