Local signage manufacturer installs range of signs to new Northampton university campus
Internal and external signage has been installed at the new Northampton University’s Waterside Campus by local signage manufacturer dlinexsign. The company were appointed by Bowmer & Kirkland in 2017 to carry out all of the signage works at the new 58-arce campus which is opening this month.
The £330 million campus is expected to be home to over 14,000 students and 2,000 staff when its doors open next month. Following extensive planning over the brownfield site, the Waterside campus is providing learning facilities, a sports pavilion, the low carbon Energy Centre and refurbishment of the former Engine Shed into the Student Union.
Dlinexsign have completed a range of signage installations throughout the campus which provides wayfinding as well as information panels. Featured, are night and day illuminated acrylic signs that complement the architecture and modern look and feel of the campus.
Internally, the signs provide a range of accessibility options with ultra-high-resolution digital printing, with 3-D printed braille dots. The wayfinding signs have been fitted with dlinexsign’s unique Jigsaw™ wall rail system which allows for flexibility throughout the campus.
The Jigsaw™ system was developed and launched alongside the d line range in 2000, but now sits as a distinct and separate range, more fully expressing the Jigsaw™ concept by adding multiple material choices to the pre-engineered secret fixing system.

The newly developed campus is an exciting addition to the town and the county, which will aid not only students in their studies but also the local community.
