APS, the independent European Car Specialists established in January 2006 is based in Buckingham Road Industrial Estate in Brackley and is led by company directors Ed Jackson and Nathan Sammons. They both originally worked for a Volkswagen Audi Group specialist in Bicester, but when the Owners sold the business and moved to Essex they spotted an opportunity. With Nathan and Ed’s background they saw this as a chance to create something of their own. Collectively the APS team have over 40 years of experience, and this provided the chance to offer Brackley and the surrounding areas with their expertise.

APS was born and ever since, they have established themselves as a leading specialist for all things car servicing, MOT’s, breakdowns, tyres, air conditioning using the latest test kit and diagnostics. Their proudest and highest achievement has been successfully winning the ‘Independent Service Provider of the Year’ award at the Audi Drivers Awards, part of the Audi Driver magazine, for 12 consecutive years.

“By maintaining this award, our customers have full confidence, are comfortable and are reassured that we will do the right job.” commented Ed Jackson.

However, on top of their award-winning success, they want to break away from the typical motor workshop stereotype and show the county and surrounding areas that they are an open house.

“2017 has been a transformational year for us, with some significant improvements at the start of the year we now have a stronger team than we've ever had before, which means we are able to take on a much larger range and volume of work. There’s a really great buzz within the business.”

“There is no smoke and mirrors here; we are very open. If a customer just wants to hand over the keys to us and leave us to it, that’s fine. But we welcome customers to have a coffee, sit down and wait for their car to be checked over.

We won’t just say what’s wrong and name the price; we will physically show them what was wrong with their vehicle. That’s why, we believe, a lot of our custom comes from word of mouth and why we have a loyal customer base.”

Although APS’ regular opening hours are Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm, thanks to the power of social media, APS constantly try to stay proactive with their customers. Any urgent enquiries that come through after hours or on the weekend will always be directed straight to the directors.

“People are often surprised if we reply to a message that we have received over facebook, email or on voicemail. We recognise that if a customer has broken down, or something has happened to their vehicle over the weekend, as much as we can reassure them that everything will be fine, in the customer's eyes, it’s a panicking time. We will try to be as proactive as possible and can be available for any emergencies”.

APS Brackley welcome any vehicle into their workshop. Being in a fantastic location on the edge of both Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire, they have customers coming from all over the country from Brackley to Scotland. Bottom line, APS Brackley will always try and help people, no matter what the problem.

We asked APS Brackley on what 2017 has been like for them and what they predict 2018 will look like for them:

“With the push on social media, getting a new website design and our reinvestment in our workshop facility, we have managed to bring in more regular customers and trade enquiries. We have a great team of people who are as enthusiastic as us.

“We hope 2018 will be another positive year for us, building on the momentum generated in 2017, we aim to help more customers and continue to grow but without losing sight of our personal approach to all our customers”.
