Barratt was founded by Sir Lawrie Barratt back in 1958 and it has rapidly grown to become the UK’s largest housebuilder, building more than 17,300 homes last year. Over the past 60 years it has built in total 450,000 houses.

As part of its 60th anniversary celebrations the company commissioned new research which asked people which housebuilder first came to mind. The results clearly show Barratt as the most recognised housebuilder with 19% of all those surveyed answering Barratt Homes, nearly double its nearest competitor.

The housebuilder is also planning a major new marketing campaign throughout 2018 with a special 60th anniversary logo, new advertising, leaflets and webpages to appear across its developments in Northamptonshire.

Andrew Swindell, Managing Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said: “2018 is a really special year for us as it’s our 60th anniversary. We’re looking forward to celebrating the anniversary with a range of local and national activities.

"It’s incredible to think that we have helped so many families across Northamptonshire and throughout the country. We’re looking forward to continuing to build many more homes over the next 60 years.”

Barratt Homes Northampton currently has homes available to reserve at the following developments across the county: Ladywell Park in Wellingborough, Lyveden Fields and Lake View at Priors Hall Park in Corby, Saxon Rise in Brixworth, St Margaret’s View in Crick and The Brackens in Brackley.

Sister company Barratt Homes South Midlands also has homes available at its Barton Seagrave development Bertone Manor.
