Northamptonshire Chamber is recognised at national awards

A team from Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce was celebrating last night after being named National Runner-up at the Chamber Business Awards.

The Chamber, alongside its sister Chamber in Milton Keynes, was National Runner-up in the Excellence in Membership Services category at the prestigious event which was organised by the British Chambers of Commerce.

This is the sixth year running the Chamber has been a finalist at the awards and in that time it has won five national awards, including Chamber of the Year.

Northamptonshire Chamber chief executive Paul Griffiths attended last night’s gala ceremony at Tobacco Dock in London with a team from both Chambers.

He said: “We are thrilled to be National Runner-up in the Excellence in Membership Services award. To be recognised by our peers for the sixth year in a row is an incredible achievement and is fantastic recognition for our dedicated and hardworking team. “I’d like to thank them as well as our board, local partners and stakeholders and of course our valued members for their ongoing support. “This recognition shows that our Chamber plays an important part in the local, regional and national business community.”

There was also recognition for three Northamptonshire Chamber members with Barker Shoes Ltd winning the E-Commerce Business of the Year Award and ID Card Centre Limited being finalists in Family Business of the Year and The Curve Group being finalists in the Workplace Wellbeing Award. Paul added: “We were absolutely thrilled to see three of our members reach the national final. They are brilliant examples of the fantastic businesses that we have in our county. We’d like to offer them our heartfelt congratulations.”
