dbfb support The Henry Allen Trust by donating Easter gifts to terminally ill children
dbfb, a local provider of business communication services, have offered their helping hand in collecting Easter gifts for the EGGstravaganza appeal in aid of the Henry Allen Trust.
The Henry Allen Trust supports children and families with life threatening illness such as cancer. Henry Allen was just two when he was diagnosed with Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer that affects nerve tissue.
Despite treatment Henry's condition deteriorated. Henry wanted to go home and his family spent their last days together making memories and talking about Henrys wishes. This included helping other children and families affected by childhood cancer which is what the appeal continue to do, to this day.
dbfb staff have contributed over 80 Easter eggs to the charity, with a special touch from their Events Coordinator, Georgia Norton, who handmade craft sets for the children. These Easter eggs have now been taken to children and families that are in hospital receiving treatment over the Easter period.
Sales and Marketing Director of dbfb, Sam Lee says “Giving back to our local community is a core value of our business. After a successful collection of gifts for the homeless, over the Christmas period, in aid of Northampton Hope centre and seeing the difference we could make as a business – it has inspired us to carry on such collections.”
dbfb’s Events Coordinator and CSR ambassador Georgia Norton said:
“Seeing Henrys Mum; Dawn Allen’s’ reaction when she walked in to see the donations was incredible. I’m very proud of the effort from my Colleagues and we will most definitely continue to support the Henry Allen Trust for the foreseeable future.”
