Sponsors coming on board, exhibitors signing up, and interest growing day by day. The inaugural East Midlands Engineering Expo, taking place at Kettering Arena and Conference Centre on October 23rd, is shaping up to being a great industry event.
Among the sponsors is All Things Business, and we are proud to be backing a fantastic event that showcases not just all that’s good about the engineering industries in Northamptonshire, but throughout the region, and beyond.
The Expo is being organised by Kettering based Polka Dot Events Management, and was the brainchild of Craig Dobbs and Liam Bond, directors of the Earls Barton based project management specialists Dobbs & Bond, who are the event’s headline sponsor.
Among the many reasons for exhibiting, and visiting the event are the opportunities for some of the best businesses within the industries to promote themselves at a business to business event; giving them the opportunity to build and maintain long-term business relationships, bringing together clients, contractors, consultants and many more.
And that is why the networking breakfast – which All Things Business are sponsoring – will be the perfect way to launch the day, ahead of the Expo opening its doors to visitors at 9.30am.
“We’re delighted to be supporting this fantastic event,” said All Things Business managing editor Ben Thomas. “As a business magazine that is proud to promote all that’s good about Northamptonshire, and supporting this fits in perfectly with what we seek to achieve.
“It will highlight all that’s good about the engineering industry locally, and attract visitors from far and wide, and the networking breakfast will kick the day off in great style – it will be the perfect environment to start making the connections and building the relationships.”
Kerry Bate, of organisers Polka Dot Events Management, said she is delighted at the interest in the event with four months to go, and ultimately wants it to become a permanent feature on the industry calendar.
“This is the perfect arena for the engineering industry and supporting businesses to gather together under one roof, and I am proud at the opportunity to turn Craig and Liam’s idea into a reality,” she said. “It’s the first of its kind, and I want it to become a ‘must go to’ event.
“I’m also thrilled at the interest and support from Ben and his team at All Things Business, and as ever they are proving their passion and support for Northamptonshire business, and I can’t think of anyone I’d rather be working with.”
The East Midlands Engineering Expo takes place at Kettering Arena and Conference Centre, Thurston Road, Kettering, NN15 6PB, on Wednesday, October 23rd, from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
