Two things you rarely find together: ‘finance’ and ‘pink’. They certainly go hand-in- hand for these independent financial advisers. The Pension House, have made the move from a back bedroom to a fully furnished new office, which is of course, pink.
All Things Business attended the official opening of The Pension House at their new office where we met Jane Stevens and her team who told us all about their expansion…
The Pension House are experts in all things financial, however, their main expertise is talking about pensions for both corporate and private clients. Established in 2013, the business started out in a home office, growing their client base and finally being able to expand into new premises.
Jane has over 35 years of experience in the industry and since establishing The Pension House some 300 corporate clients and more than 80 individual clients have used their services. Due to their specialist qualifications in pensions, there is nothing about pensions that this company doesn’t know and this really does set them apart from other financial advisers.
They have recently expanded and have moved to new premises at Lodge Barn Farm in Nobottle, Northampton, which is the perfect location for them and their clients. “Because our clients will remain with us throughout their retirement years, we felt it was important to move to a location that was accessible to all.”
“That’s why we are pleased to be situated on a ground floor level, in a new office surrounded by the Northamptonshire countryside with plenty of car parking for customers to come and visit us.” commented Jane Stevens, Managing Director of The Pension House.
Upon first impression, the new office doesn’t scream financial advisers. The vibrance of pink instantly lifts you and gravitates you into their premises. I was greeted by Jane and her bubbly Office Manager, Laura; who joined directly from University 3 years ago. Together, the duo have gone from strength to strength. Laura took her final level 4 CII exam last week and hopes to qualify soon as a financial adviser.
Following on from their expansion, they wish to develop The Pension House ‘Academy’ and are now looking to recruit 2 further trainee paraplanners to join their team at this exciting time. Full training will be given, with the prospect of growing their knowledge from within the company and becoming fully trained Financial Advisers.
The Pension House are here to ensure people make the right decisions in respect of their assets. Despite their pink and fluffy presence, they won’t sugar coat facts, they are straight talking when it comes to your pension and investments. They will guide you through the options and recommend that which is most suited to your needs holding your hand through the process.
They will go through a bespoke detailed timeline with you, mapping out your predicted spending pattern and what steps to take in order for you to have a happy and stress-free retirement.
Jane commented: “We tell the clients how long the money is likely to last in retirement; how much extra they might need to invest to have the lifestyle they’d like in retirement or if, maybe, they need to work longer before they can afford to retire, We help clients understand how they can live from their wealth/assets. We provide cash-flow modeling so they can see what the outcome might look like to help them fulfill their goals in life”.
The Pension House can also help companies see the benefits of enrolling staff into a workplace pension. Additionally, they offer pension guidance in the workplace in the form of ‘pension clinics’ this can be useful for those workers over age 55, who may want to better understand their options in retirement and perhaps utilise their pension assets to phase in retirement. At these events they also discuss state pensions and the importance of ensuring workers do not have gaps in their national insurance record.
