A focus on teamwork, innovation and customer satisfaction pays off for James and James Fulfilment.
The team at Brackmills-based James and James Fulfilment is set to be recognised at the SHD Logistics Awards next week, thanks to the improvements they’ve made to the firm’s operations.
James and James provides fulfilment services to online retailers, storing their products, packing orders and shipping them to customers. The company is at its busiest from Black Friday through to Christmas, when its workload can increase by over 70% each day.
To make things as efficient as possible during this “peak season”, the team trialled a host of innovations in 2018 – from better training for seasonal team members and improvements to its software, to extended support hours for clients.
The changes improved productivity by nearly 60% and client satisfaction by over 40%, leading to a nomination in the Operations SME (<500 Employees) category at the awards.
“Our values focus on innovation, team work, quality and client satisfaction,” says James Hyde, CEO and Co-Founder. “The improvements the team made really show these values in action, with people from different departments coming together, to try new ideas and make things better. I’m delighted that their efforts have been recognised with this nomination.”
The award comes at a time when James and James Fulfilment is rapidly expanding. Having joined the Fast Track 100 and FT1000 lists of high-growth companies, it is now seeking new investment and recruiting for roles at all levels across its technology, finance and client support teams.
