Following the success of her converted horse box prosecco bar, The Vino Van, Corby entrepreneur Siobhan Holmes has launched four, spin-off pop-up bars.
The new bars – gin bar, prosecco bar, cocktail bar and the ‘fully stocked’ bar – are collapsible and can be installed at any event.
Siobhan says: “The bars need to be seen to be believed. Even though they can be transported easily and set up in a matter of minutes, they are incredible quality with their own sinks, ice chests and prepping stations. Once they are up, you can’t tell that they are pop-up bars.”
One way Siobhan plans to get the bars seen is at a special launch event in London.
“I am in the process of organising a large launch event, which will bring together event organisers, big brands and PR people,” reveals Siobhan. “There they can not only see and experience the bars first hand, but they can network with each other.
There will also be cocktail-making masterclasses. It should be great fun!”
Other events Siobhan is targeting with her new bars is festivals. These will be a combination of events such as the ones she is organising herself, such as the Foodie Festivals, the first of which took place in Corby over the Easter weekend in March and saw 300 people attend and enjoy prosecco and street vendor foods such as stone baked pizza, fried chicken and vegan cuisine.
Immediately after the event, Siobhan carried out a survey and the overwhelming response was that people loved it and would like to see another, this time with live music too. Foodie Two will take place at the S & L Football Ground in Corby on Saturday 26th May from 6pm to 11pm and live bands and extra seating have been added following customer feedback.
“I just love organising events and now I have the new bars, as well as The Vino Van, there is so much potential to do more and grow the business further, especially when it comes to corporate events and festivals.
“I am already taking bookings for events in October, November and December and in talks with several well-known gin and vodka distilleries to work together.”
