Northampton Saints today announced that Lee Gibbons has been appointed as the Club’s new Commercial Director.
Gibbons (pictured right) joins after nine years at Adidas where he was Senior Director Sports Marketing, having previously held senior commercial positions at IMG.
Commenting on his appointment, Saints Chief Executive Mark Darbon said, “The Commercial Director is a critical role at the Club. With his vast knowledge of the sports industry and his significant commercial experience at Adidas, Lee will bring a progressive approach to the Club’s commercial activities and will help us achieve our long-term goals.”
Lee Gibbons added, “Saints has an exciting vision for the future so I am delighted to be joining the Club at this time.
“I look forward to getting to know the Club’s existing supporters and commercial partners and I’m excited by the prospect of developing new commercial opportunities in the sport.”
In addition to Gibbons’ appointment Saints have also strengthened its commercial team by recruiting Will Peasgood (pictured above left) as its new Head of Retail.
Peasgood, who will report to Gibbons, joins after 12 years at West Bromwich Albion where he was responsible for sourcing new suppliers and products, buying and stock control.
“Will will bring great insight and energy to the role and will be a key appointment in the Club’s future success,” added Darbon.
