Not just a temporary fix, something new
The recruitment industry has witnessed some major changes over recent years. With changes in legislation, reduction in a skilled labour market, as well as the lowest unemployment levels witnessed for some time has meant, the need for businesses in this arena to evolve and develop their offering has never been so important.
We have spoken to leading local recruitment business, ACS Recruitment Solutions to see how they have taken up the challenge.
Chris Wright, Sales & Operations Director explains: “Although the need for businesses like ours to embrace advances in technology has become hugely important as we grow and develop, we have also seen the desire from clients to have that truly consultative approach to working with them.”
“The misconception of our industry is at times considered to simply send candidates registered with us to a temporary placement and then leave them to get on with it. Our service offering is very different to this misconception” explains Chris.
“Passionate about placing people is our mantra and therefore we care about where our candidates will be working, as well as ensuring the work our candidates are carrying out for our clients is matched to their skill set and their expectations of environment etc. The importance of culture and the treatment of temporary staff has become equally important as the tasks clients require completing.
Part of our evolution has been to look at ways to reward our workforce, setting ourselves apart from our competition and giving something back to the people who help us to grow our reputation.
The end of last year saw us introduce a unique offering to our temporary workforce, providing them with a variety of major high street discounts as well as half price cinema tickets and much more. All of this is provided by ACS for free.
This has really helped enforce our approach to truly caring about our workforce and its gone down a real treat with clients too, helping us to gain further business in the area.”
Never before has it become so important to retain good staff. The reduction in the labour market has meant local businesses are increasingly competing to attract good staff. There is only so much in the pot when it comes to increasing pay which is why we have developed this idea.
In addition to this, we have some exciting plans to be released shortly more focused on the technology side and in conjunction with the introduction of GDPR.
If you are looking to partner with a business that rewards their workforce and offers a true consultative service then get in touch, we are always pleased to share our story.
