Rising and growing like a Phoenix
2017. What a year. And it’s certainly been a big year for the logistics and transport sector. Including for Phoenix Training.
It’s a year of celebration for all the Northampton-shire business community, a year of growth, regeneration and success for long serving ITSSAR accredited forklift training centre, Phoenix Training, based in Wellingborough.
Emma Williams, Managing Director of Phoenix Training who also holds the NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety commented: “2017 has been a fabulous year of business for us! Not only did we win our award at the Talent in Logistics awards this year, but we’ve been exceptionally busy throughout the whole year.”
“Our third quarter has been the best we’ve ever seen, since I took over the business. We have seen dramatic upturn, plus during periods in which we would be quiet, we have exceeded expectations and it’s been off the chart!”
In June 2017, Phoenix Training were crowned the winners at the Talent in Logistics awards for the ‘Material Handling Equipment Training Provider of the Year’ award. This was the first time that Phoenix Training won the award and since their success, they have seen a vast growth in the business.
“We were up against some quite big providers in the country, so to win the award was such a huge achievement for us!” commented Emma. 2018 is looking to be another positive year for Phoenix Training.
Alongside providing courses in forklift and mechanical handling equipment training to candidates in a number of sectors and private individuals, Emma will be embarking on a new course herself in the next couple of months.
Emma will be starting the Level 6 Diploma in Applied Health & Safety to add to her own skillset and the businesses. This will enable Emma to work as a consultant in addition to her current advisory role.
“This will be another added tool to my own and the businesses portfolio of what we offer. I hope by getting a further qualification, we can continue to supply our candidates with the right training to a nationally recognised standard.”
Phoenix Training are looking ahead for 2018 and hope those in the sectors they already support will continue to trust in the services they provide when it comes to improving workplace safety, reducing risk of damage to stock and equipment and looking to become legally compliant.
