Sporting Stars score Sponsorship support

Croyland Car Megastore Sponsors Higham Colts Youth Team

Sporting stars from Higham Colts youth team have been boosted by Croyland Car Megastore’s sponsorship support.

The dealership in Rushden, which supports several local teams and community causes sponsored the Under 8’s team providing players with new football kits. Players from the team visited Croyland in their new sponsored strip and were delighted when Croyland’s mascot Cooper the dog made a surprise appearance and was there to greet the football stars.

The talented team is enjoying a successful season, winning the majority of their matches, and their energetic efforts have been rewarded by the Northamptonshire business, which pledged its support for grass roots sport by sponsoring the kits of the local youth football team.

Mark Swindells, General Manager at Croyland Car Megastore, said: “We were delighted to welcome the Higham Colts players to Croyland where they were able to meet Cooper.

“We support a number of local teams and were thrilled to sponsor the team and provide them with new football kits. We wish them continued success and are delighted with the excellent progress the team’s made so far this season."

We hope their winning streak continues. It is great to be able to help our upcoming sporting stars and offer them support both on and off the pitch.”

Head Coach and Youth Development Officer for the club, James Sharp added: “Higham Colts U8’s has had a fantastic season so far, winning the majority of their games both 5v5 and 7v7 as they prepare for next season.  It was a huge boost to their pride when Croyland Car Megastore approached them to sponsor their efforts and provide a new match and training kit.  It has helped unify the players on and off the pitch.  They wear their shirts with pride, not just for the Higham Town F.C. but also their sponsor Croyland.

“In today’s uncertain financial climate, it is great to see local businesses providing support to grassroots clubs.  Higham Town F.C. boasts a large setup with teams in all age groups U5 up to adults and a well-established home ground.  Higham Town F.C. prides its self on having local connections and a long-established youth football focus within the Rushden and Higham area.”
