A business to business (B2B) telecommunications company in Milton Keynes has marked its 10-year anniversary with an office move to the prestigious Shenley Pavilions area of the town.
Totally Converged Solutions was established in 2009 by directors Andrew Thomas and Simon Dixon, who had both worked in telecommunications for the corporate market.
They set up the company in Andrew’s front room. Within a matter of months, the duo took on an office at the Bucks Biz Centre in Milton Keynes. The flexibility offered by the Bucks Biz Centre meant that the company could move offices within the centre as it grew.
Over the last ten years, Totally Converged Solutions has grown from two directors to a team of ten and worked with a multitude of clients, both in Milton Keynes and across the UK, with many of them staying with the company since its first year. Clients include Champneys, MK Dons SET, BP Chargemaster and Kirkby & Diamond.
Initially only providing mobile phones to businesses, Totally Converged Solutions now also offers hosted telephone lines, business broadband, cloud solutions and IOT (internet of things), which is a system of interrelated devices. It also offers an after-sales account management service to customers, which sees each customer receive a direct dial number to their assigned account manager and a promise that every call will be answered first time.
Now, after close to a decade at the Buck Biz Centre, Totally Converged Solutions is entering a new phase of growth, and has moved into its new larger office in Shenley Pavilions. As well as allowing for further growth, the new office will also enable the team to create a purpose-built demo suite to showcase its hosted telephony products.
“Our growth has been organic and as we have grown, so has our product knowledge and offering,” said Andrew. “Our relationships with our customers and the large mobile networks, such as EE, O2 and Vodafone, have also grown stronger.”
“Our ethos is that it is much easier to retain customers than it is to go out and get new ones,” added Simon. “Our customers are the most important part of our business. Many of them have been with us for ten years because we are good at what we do. And what we do works because it is built on the relationships we have with our customers and our suppliers.”
It is through these relationships that Andrew and Simon decided to explore the idea of offering services that complimented business mobiles, four years ago.
“We quickly realised through communicating with both our customers and our providers that there was a lot more we could be doing,” said Simon. “Communications and technology are vital to any business, but the number of products out there can be overwhelming as technology is always moving forward. We are in the fortunate position that we are talking to both businesses and providers of the technology every day. This meant that we could scour the market and identify all of the latest products and solutions that could help our customers to save money and grow their business through increases in efficiency and productivity.”
